I found this blog the "cool" way; I became flickr friends one of the two ladies who participate. Stephanie and Mav are friends who live 3191 miles apart. Each evening, they take a photo and post them side by side on their photo blog.

It's charming.

Last year they did a year of mornings, and those are not destined for a book.
