I highly recommend that, should you find yourself house hunting, you be sure what, exactly, you want first. We've started the process on buying two condos, and let both fall through when we realized, no, they wouldn't work. Then we threw our real estate agent a bit of a curve ball: we want a yard. I think this means a smaller space, but we have three suburban dogs. I think they'd be depressed not having outdoors, and only being let out on a leash. You can RAISE them happily that way, but mine are spoiled.

Do you know how many yards there aren't in Brooklyn? A lot. This is going to take a long time. In the meantime, this house is now officially on the market, and this is depressing.
