Dinner Wrap Up

I used the insides of the chicken. They were gross. I simmered the "giblets" (including the heart!!!) in a sauce pan with a little bit of beer, celery, salt and pepper. Then I poured in a can of turkey broth (I was out of chicken) and boiled it with a little flour. Then I dumped it all in the dirty roasting pan, so all the chicken drippyness got mixed in.

It was AMAZING.

I made the mashed potatoes too soon, so they were a little cold, but other than that, dinner was pretty good.

I might not be such a bad cook after all. It was a LOT of work.
