The Pictures

I left my camera's USB cable at home, so here are the pictures from my trip, all at once. Don't get too bored!

Here we are being touristy at Fisherman's Warf.

The cutie-pie sea lions.
"Oh, we're just so cute!" "Oh, aren't we? Look at them admire us. We're darling!"

The view from Pier 39. The Golden Gate Bridge is in the background; this was my first view of it.

The city from the end of the pier. A storm was coming.

Rob in front of In-and-Out Burger; they make fresh fast food and you can only find them on the west coast.

Trolley car ride.

This guy was EVERYwhere.

In Yerba Buena Gardens, there is this moving memorial to Martin Luther King, Jr.

People waiting in line for the trolley were subjected to this guy telling them why they were going to hell. His shirt says "Jesus Saves from Hell!" Moments before he pulled out the megaphone, he was yelling at some guy with a chihuahua, "You have sex with your dog!"

That's Erin in the background, and the poll has edited out the unpretty.

The trolley goes straight up Market Street and at the top of the hill, this is the view of the bay.

The view down Lombard street. It zig-zags to help cars manage it's steep incline.

Just as Rob was about to snap a picture of me, the trolley lurched. I was smiling a second before.

Erin has difficulty making normal faces in pictures. I'm blameing this on the fact that she is Rob's friend.

Ghirardelli square was unusually crowded because:

the Blue Angles were in town celebrating fleet week! Everyone thought they were great, but all I could think of was their poor mother's nerves. Fleet week meant one REALLY good thing: Men in hunky uniform!

This kid had a sign that said "Music Camp or Bust" He was playing his heart out and making a killing. I gave him a dollar.

Fisherman's Warf looking down.

This was the day we biked the Golden Gate Bridge. The next time we rent bikes, I'm only going to go about this far.

This was us on the beach before we headed into the really difficult part of the bike ride. Excuse the non-makeup face. I was being "rugged".

View from the bridge. (Proof we really did bike it!)

The view of Sausalito from the ferry. The Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco to Sausalito, where we caught the ferry.

The historical "Haight Ashbury" street signs, right next to the world's first Gap.
