The Headache From Hell

I came home from work early today as the result of a migrane that I still have. It's on the right side of my head, starting at the base of my skull a few inches behind my right ear, and going up and down from my shoulder blade to my eyebrow. The vision in my right eye is blury, and my right cheek (the one on my FACE) is numb. I believe this, and the other ones that come to this exact same location (about once or twice a month) are the result of a "sublaxation" in my spine. It's where two little vertibrae lean a little out of line and pinch a nerve. It hurts as much as it sounds like it does.

So I left work early (see ya!) to go back to bed. When I got home Rob was just getting up. I waved at him and stumbled into the bathroom to scrub up with my unnecessarily expensive face wash. He came in to hug me and see what was wrong as I was brushing my teeth. I slumped against him and continued to brush... it was really pathetic! I begged him to come back to bed with me and we could play hookey and let the rest of the world pass us by, but he insisted that he had to go to work. I had to content myself to dropping into the hot spot he had left in the bed. It was cozy, but not the same. I slept, and had dreams about being chased by polar bears in the north pole, hanging out at the beach with Leon Russel and one nightmare that woke me up in a panic: Rob had gotten a buzz cut.
