Little Parties at Borders
I always make it a point to go up to the music section at Borders. Scan a CD and listen to the juicy middle part of a song; its the best part about shopping for music there. People plunk on the headphones, and you can watch them bouncing around a bit, sort of quietly dancing, a thirty-second party of one. The point is that you hear parts of the album to determine if you like them before you buy them. However, I scan songs I already know, on CDs I already own, just to hear something familiar. I swear just about everyone else does the same, because I see them lip-synching. Yeah, buddy, I see you, silently crooning along to that Donna Summer album youve had for 15 years. Im on to you.
